This is a book everyone needs to read. It explains how the medical profession thinks, and operates. I was both amazed, and horrified, at some of the things I read. The author lists case histories, and also why procedures came out the way they did, and what you can do, to help prevent this from happening to you. The author is a Dr, who has turned victims advocate, by becoming a lawyer, and suing the very Dr's and hospitals, that kill and/or maim as many as half a million people a year, and this mostly goes unnoticed. Sad part is, only a very small few, can win a lawsuit, because heartless defense attorneys, for big hospitals, pound into juries minds, that the victims or families of, are just out for the money, when it is just the opposite. They abhor the money, it is blood money to them, but they need it to help with the continuing cost of caring for an family member damaged for life, because of the malpractice of a Dr or hospital. This is what they are fighting for.
